About Me

Dr. H. Clayton Thomason, III is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with more than 25 years of experience treating conditions of the ankle, elbow, hip, knee and shoulder as well as joint replacement and sports medicine. He earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before completing his medical degree at the UNC School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Dr. Thomason has served in numerous leadership roles throughout his career including President of the North Carolina Orthopaedic Association, Chief of Staff at CaroMont Regional Medical Center and member of the Board of Directors of the Southern Orthopaedic Association.
