A Fully Accredited, Multidisciplinary Breast Program
The Breast Program at CaroMont Health holds full accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancer Centers (NAPBC), a distinction earned by fewer than 10% of hospitals nationwide. This accreditation reflects our commitment to delivering the highest standards of care in screening, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.
Our breast-specific tumor conference meets every week. It brings together medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, breast radiologists, pathologists and dedicated breast surgeons to review each patient's case. The result is a custom, evidence-based treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.

Your Experience
What to Expect: Your Patient Journey
From your first call to ongoing survivorship, our breast nurse navigators are with you at every step — coordinating care, answering questions and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

1. Referral & Scheduling
A referral is placed by your primary care physician or you may self-refer, and our team will contact you to schedule your initial visit promptly. We know the days between a concern and a first appointment can feel long and we work hard to make sure you feel informed and supported from that very first call.

2. Diagnostic Workup
Imaging such as mammography, ultrasound and MRI if needed and biopsy are completed to fully characterize your diagnosis before any surgical decisions are made. This ensures your care team has a thorough and accurate picture of your health so that every recommendation going forward is grounded in the right information.

3. Tumor Conference
Your case is presented at our weekly multidisciplinary tumor board, where specialists collaboratively develop your personalized treatment plan. This means your care reflects the collective expertise of breast surgeons, oncologists, radiologists and other dedicated members of your team rather than a single perspective.

4. Treatment & Surgery
Surgery, medical oncology and radiation therapy are coordinated seamlessly and your navigator is available throughout to address questions and concerns. Our goal is for you to always know where you stand, what comes next and that someone who knows your case well is just a phone call away.

5. Survivorship & Follow-Up
After treatment, our survivorship program monitors your long-term health, manages side effects and connects you with support resources. We'll continue to be a partner in your health through regular follow-up appointments, making sure you have everything you need to move forward with confidence.

Preventive Care
